School level LMS(Learning Management System) is a recommended ICT platform for effectively managing the teaching and learning process across the school. Our LMS package named LEMS(Learning Experience Management System) is made for primary schools in Kerala.  It provides a common platform at school for lesson plan guide, storage of activity package, digital contents and assessment tools for all teachers of the school from std I to VII.

The activity package is based on the state curriculum, text books and handbooks and designed in a most user friendly manner. The package is developed using free and opensource software tools on Linux platform and no proprietary licensing is involved. There are more than 10,000 contextualized digital contents included in the package. The package is open to add more activities and digital materials to it encouraging teachers to create their own digital materials.

Our systems and processes for continuous improvement and teacher support were highly appreciated by teacher users, parents and many authorities including Educational Department officials, SCERT, SSA, DIET, Local administration bodies etc. Most of the schools who used the system for more than a year were able to show the benefits including increase in the school admission rate. SSA Kerala has even selected LEMS for pilot  implementation across the state and included in the AWP for 2017-18 with approval from MHRD.

SCERT team has conducted a two day visit to 6 schools in April 2018, for understanding the package, contents and academic benefits of using LEMS. The feedback from all the team members were highly positive and encouraging.
